e-Health Adversities Research Database

 

Welcome to e-HARD.

Though much has been speculated about the adversities of e-Health, but nothing has been proved to be certain.This research Database is an endeavour on our part to collect hard evidence on the adversities of e-Health applications.

This Database is created and maintained in association with the Center for Cybermedicine and Internet Research.[know more]

This database is is no way a competetion to other databases, since our motive is to collect evidence on any health adversities due to the Internet.

Evidence may be submitted by Professionals or Patients on the following broad subjects:

  • Evidence on harmful medical information on the internet 
  • Evidence on harm caused by the misinterpretation of information 
  • Evidence on harm caused by self treatment based on information on the internet.
  • Patients who were harmed by consulting "Cyber Doctors" OR were harmed by Drugs prescribed by Cyber doctors or Purchased from Cyber pharmacies.
  • "Cyber hypochondria"
  • Self harm induced by information on the Internet.
  • Websites that offer malicious information OR promoting or motivating self harm OR acts or offers information that disrupts a patient-physician relationship.

By putting up such a Database does not in any way imply Internet is Harmful to health. All the information will be totally anonymised before publication and the privacy of submitters and users will be maintained.
